Woodchester Mansion is an architectural masterpiece of the Victorian age abandoned by its builders before it could be completed. It has been virtually untouched by time since the mid-1870s, and today offers a unique opportunity to tour and explore a Gothic building in mid-assembly's night will be spent in complete darkness except for torch light. The base room is the only room with electric light at night, therefore the whole event becomes extremely focused on honing all the natural senses we use for ghost hunting.
The Mansion is hidden in a secluded 400-acre landscape park of great beauty, sheltering an abundance of wildlife and rare-breed grazing stock. Enchanting woodland walks snake around its five man-made lakes. Although on Ghost hunting events access to the parkland is not permitted- the atmosphere as you drive down the one mile dirt track can be extremely intimidating. The mansion looms out of the secluded woods the only light immersing from the caretakers flat.
During the night Woodchester Mansion takes on an energy of its own holding secrets close, but also giving ghost- hunters some extremly active evenings.
Voices have been picked up on voice recorders. Deep drops in tempertures and on regular occasionsd ghosts have been seen by ghost-hunters both believers and non believers.
It stands proud holding its secrets close daring the ghost hunter to enter by the door hidden towards the back of the house Paranormal activity which has been recorded at Woodchester Mansion is now becoming legendary.
Which of he ghosts will resonate with you?
'Having investigated the Mansion over 40 times myself I can vouch for the fact that at times it has been completely scary' (Elaine Dayton)
